LIVERPOOL Mercury (Dolan) rider Guy Crosbie has finished joint winner of the 2009 Liverpool Echo Star Trophy Junior Competition.
The 17-year-old, who only took up cycling less than nine months ago, has managed to cling on to his three points throughout the season and shares the £100 prize with Liverpool Century's Jamie Shirlaw.
Crosbie picked up his first two points of the season at his club's own circuit race held at Litherland Sports Park on April 29 before claiming another point during Prescot Eagle's race on the same circuit back in August.
Meanwhile, Shirlaw claimed three points during the very same Prescot Eagles race to bring him level with the Merc youngster.
Crosbie has enjoyed a fantastic first season and has moved up from a fourth category junior to third cat. Well done, Guy!!!!
